Program Profile
Education and research activities in the department are provided by 2 Professors, 1 Associate Professor, 3 Assistant Professors, 1 Lecturer and 3 Research Assistants.
Our annual quota is 80 students.
The language of instruction is Turkish.
The program includes compulsory courses and elective courses related to the field of nutrition and dietetics.
In the 4th grade, there is an application in the fields of nutrition and dietetics.

Program Qualifications (Outcomes)
1- Explains the concepts and relationships between concepts related to the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
2- Explains the interrelationships of nutrients and the interactions and changes of these nutrients in chemical, biochemical, microbiological, and metabolic mechanisms.
3- Explains the food sources and properties of nutrients in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics, their economic uses, their relationship with each other and preparation-cooking-storage methods.
4- Plans the nutritional status of the society or individuals, each stage of collective nutrition systems suitable for the characteristics of places where collective nutrition is made, informs the society or individuals about healthy nutrition.
5- Organizes, implements, trains and monitors individual-specific nutrition and diet programs considering age, gender, socio-cultural, economic, disease and health conditions.
6- Plans and implements a diet program according to the composition of natural and therapeutic nutrients suitable for medical and surgical treatments in congenital and acquired nutritional diseases and special cases, and offers solutions for these diseases.
7- Directs learning and develops a positive attitude towards lifelong learning by using scientific methods, techniques and information sources effectively to follow developments in Nutrition and Dietetics.
8- Accesses, evaluates, interprets and shares proven knowledge in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics.
9- Applies the laws, regulations, legislation and professional ethics rules related to their duties, rights and responsibilities as an individual.
10- Participates in in-house, national and international scientific meetings during/after graduation.
11- Knows professional English well and follows the resources in the field.
12- Can do team work in field research.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates can work in all health units (hospitals, maternal and child health centers, dialysis centers, polyclinics, etc.), various public and private institutions, food and beverage establishments, hotels, nursing homes, nursing homes, nurseries and food industry and/or can be employed as academicians in nutrition and dietetics departments of universities.
Access to Higher Degree Programs
Students who graduate from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics can continue their postgraduate education
- Nutrition Sciences,
- Dietetics,
- Mass Feeding Systems or
- They can continue in the Departments of Community Nutrition.
Students can apply to Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiology, Public Health and Sports Sciences master's and/or doctoral programs.
